Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actor and producer. She has been recognized for her exceptional roles in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The movie Piano earned her numerous awards which included an Oscar. The talented actress began her acting career by performing on stage, by performing in a myriad of Broadway as well as Off-Broadway productions. Passionate about acting since her childhood, she performed Helen Keller in a play in fifth grade. The fifth grade was the year that due to mumps, she lost her hearing in the left ear. However, she did not allow that to stop her. She studied drama at college, and then moved to Pittsburgh and moved to New York City to follow her dreams. After a casual encounter, she got stuck in an elevator with playwright Beth Henley and the two joined forces to create the Broadway Crimes of the Heart that made Hunter's debut. The first time she appeared in a film was when she moved in Los Angeles. In the years since, she has been in many shows and TV films in a long career that spans more than 30 years. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and was awarded the Women in Film Lucy Award.
